Victoria Computer Club

Technology for 55+
We discuss how to effectively and safely use digital technology (smartphones, digital cameras,  tablets and computers, except Apple products) with those 55 and older who join our club.

Our 150 members can attend any of several sessions per month, held at Silver Threads (Les Passmore Centre), 286 Hampton Road, Victoria, V8Z 1H1, near the Tillicum Mall.

To attend Computer Club events you must be a member of the Victoria Computer Club.  Join us.  New Computer Club members get their first month’s computer club membership for free – attend your favourite club course or try them all. (Silver Threads drop-in fees still apply.)

Memberships are $25 per person.  Memberships last 365 days from the anniversary of joining.

VCC Genealogy Group
The VCC Genealogy  Group  meets from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on the 1st Thursday every month.  The Club has one Instructor’s Computer and several computers for attendees. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops with their genealogy software and family tree data installed. Alternatively, bring your family tree data on a USB drive so it may be accessed on a club computer
This Group is for the beginner to intermediate genealogist. The focus is on using genealogical software to record your family history and create reports.
The leader of this Group is Murray Strome. Email: vccgenealogysig@gmail.com for further information. Check the VCC Club Calendar for details on topics to be discussed.
